   I know you guys you are going to hate me because I'm messing with your feelings by saying of the third time that this is the last entry about JACKSGAP. But believe me, THIS ONE IS REALLY THE LAST ENTRY ABOUT JACKSGAP! The thing is that before writing the previous entries I wanted to write a special one with just fun and curious facts about Jack and Finn, but I totally forgot about it until now. So here it is.

1. They were born on May 13 1993, which makes them 20 years-old by now.
2. They have a little sister: Emmy Lou Harries.
3. They have on dog, Toto, and two fishes: Walter and Fabian.
4. Their sister YouTube channel "Native" is coming soon.
5. Jack and Finn have a company named Digital Native Studios.
6. Finn is 2 minutes older than Jack.
7. Jack is not really fond of tomatoes.
8. Jack knows French.
9. Finn knows Spanish.
10. Jack used to have a girlfriend.

   So there are bad news and good news. The bad news are that this is the last JACKSGAP's entry :(, I know, I'm going to miss this guys too, but don't worry, I'm pretty sure you will still see them around here. But the good news are that because of the fact that this is the last entry about this YouTube channel, it means it is time for the Rickshaw Run entry!!!!!!! YAAAAAY!

• THE RICKSHAW RUN PART 1: IT. HAS. STARTED. On the very first episode of this adventure, Louis, Will, Ben, Harry, Max, Finn and Jack, depart from London to go into an epic race across India. From hours of traveling, almost loosing a camera and getting to see their rickshaws for the very first time, this first episode of the Rickshaw Run will make you fill as excited as this guys for the adventure they are about to start.

• THE RICKSHAW RUN PART 2: Turns out "Mary" was not in her best to do that kind of things, so consequently she frequently broke down, but after changing its carburetor, the guys were back in the road with no problem, apart from being behind schedule, so, in order to gain back the time they had lost, they decided to drive through the night.

• THE RICKSHAW RUN PART 3:  It seemed like driving through the night was not the best of the ideas, so this time, to get back on schedule , they hired a truck which transported the tuck tucks on the back. On this video you can also see how they celebrated raising $100,000 USD for the Teenage Cancer Trust. 

• THE RICKSHAW RUN PART 4: Sadly, everything in this world comes to an end, and this epic race was not an exception, so, after 17 incredible days of traveling all the way across India, this guys made it to the finish line. 

   Well guys, that is the end of the Rickshaw Run entry and I hope you enjoyed it, because honestly, I did really enjoy watching this seven and crazy guys traveling across India, and the reason of this, is that they really motivate me to do what I want to do, what I like to do. Through this I want to tell you guys to follow your dreams, reach for the stars and make a change in this world while having the time of your lives.

    We are getting closer to the end of the JACKSGAP entries, but that also means that we are getting closer to the special about the Rickshaw Run, which is really exciting form me and I hope it is also exciting for you guys.  Because there is no one better in this world to explain what this project was about than Finn and Jack themselves, I'll leave you here the video where they explain what this idea was about.

   Now for the fun part. Turns out that YouTubers like to invite other YouTubers to their channels to do challenges, special activities, or just feature together in a video. So here I will post only five videos where Jack has invited another YouTuber to his channel.

• ELIZA: Eliza is Jack's cousin, and although she is not the biggest and greatest YouTuber she used to have her own channel called "Eliza plays the guitar". She featured in three JACKSGAP videos which were a kind of experiment for something they used to call "Music Mondays". She happened to appear in one or two videos after this project ended (did it?).

• CASPER LEE: Casper Lee, YouTuber since he was 16. He happens to be a UK/Southafrican kid, and because of this, Jack invited him to his channel so that he could learn some southafrican slang. 

• MARCUS BUTLER: Huge YouTuber. This two guys decided to attach a megaphone to their car and go around the streets complementing people. Eventhough they got a police warning, it didn't stop them from trying to make people smile.

• TYLER OAKLEY: Yeah, I love this guy, I think he is one of those persons which is really fun to look at, but not in a bad way. This video is similar to Casper Lee's, but the opposite way: here Finn and Jack teach Tyler (american) some british slang.

• DAN HOWELL: A.K.A. as Danisnotonfire. Also, famous YouTuber. This twins invited Dan to Jack's channel to test their twin telepathy or something like that. They think it worked…

   This are not the only YouTubers or guests who have featured in a JACKSGAP video, but I definitely think that all of them are remarkable YouTubers and Eliza is probably a great cousin. Just so you guys know I will start talking about this YouTubers as soon as we end with the JACKSGAP section.

   I probably should have uploaded this video on a previous entry, but I didn't and that is why I am doing it right now. I promise you'll have fun.

GETTING TO KNOW SOME YOUTUBERS - JACKSGAP TRAVELLING

TRAVELLING


   We are getting closer to the end of the JACKSGAP section, but before we come to it, there are a few things left we could still talk about Jack's channel and one of them is traveling.
   Turns out this pair of boys also like to travel, but, as we can see, they take advantage of any opportunity they have to film and share with us their experiences, and their trips have not been an exception. So, on this entry, I will tell you a little bit of the trips they have made together just for the pleasure of traveling (I guess…)

• ROME 2012: At the beginning of this year, both, Jack and Finn traveled to Rome to have a small vacation. This is the first video were they feature on a vacation trip. Apart from falling of a segway and getting lost, it seems they really enjoyed themselves while in Italy.

• IBIZA 2012: During spring this same year they came up with the idea of taking a quick trip to Ibiza, an island near  Spain, which is considerably close to London, due to the fact that their hometown was rainy, wet and apparently in terrible weather conditions, so... why not head down to the beach?!

• THAILAND 2012: On July 2012 they reached the amazing amount of 100,000 subscribers while being on Thailand! And, in order to celebrate, Jack decided he was jumping of a bungee naked. Yep, just as it sounds. I'll leave you the video over here.

• NEW YORK 2013: 2012 ended and in the first months of 2013, they twins took a "cheeky" (Jack's favorite word) trip to New York City where they met their friend and YouTuber as well Joey, who played the roll of tour guy for the day.

And we are done with the trips. I really liked this idea, I mean it seems really awesome to film your vacations and later on do a kind-of-documentary-thing to share with you family, friends or anyone you want! GETTING TO KNOW SOME YOUTUBERS - JACKSGAP CONVENTIONS

CONVENTIONS


   Hey there guys! I think it's been a few days since I wrote my last entry but sometimes it is hard for me to find some time to do it! But anyway, I'm doing the best I can.
   Today is going to be a really small entry because Jack (yes, I blame Jack) has only three videos about conventions on his channel which is the topic of this entry. I know that you will find the exact same videos here and in the 3rd entry, but the difference is that in this entry I will only focuse on their YouTube (or any other) conventions. Let's get started!

• PLAYLIST LIVE 2013, FLORIDA: On March 2013 the boys, Jack and Finn, traveled all the way down to Florida where the YouTube convention "Playlist Live" took place. It was the first time they assisted to and event like this, but, besides their nervousness, they had a really great time. There they had the chance to reunite with a bunch of other british YouTubers and their fans. Here's the video.

• vINSPIRED LIVE, LONDON 2013: Later on, the twins assisted to vInspired Live. This was not precisely a YouTube convention, but an event organized by vInspired Live, a charity with the objective to inspire everyone to make a change. Here Finn and Jack got the chance to talk to a lot of people about how they can make a change through social media. The event was transmitted live on internet.

• VIDCON: The thing about this convention is that they really never shared their experience on their channel, the only thing we know that happened while they were there is that Jack got reaaaaally bored in his hotel room and decided to make a video about the things you can do when you find yourself in his situation. So I'm not going to say the same thing for like the second time and I'll just mention that VidCon is a YouTube convention held in Anaheim Convention Centre. This convention, apart from being a "serious" event, is also the perfect time to have the time of your life. The organizers promise that the 2014 conventions will be a bigger and greater event so lets hope we don't miss it.

GETTING TO KNOW SOME YOUTUBERS - JACKSGAP SOCIAL CAUSES

SOCIAL CAUSES


   A few entries ago I said I was going to focus a little bit more on the trips Jack and Finn have made. Turn outs some of this trips have been more than vacations and they have traveled to some destinations to visit charities. This are those videos.

• COMIC RELIEF, SOUTH AFRICA: In February last year, Jack and Finn, were asked by the Comic Relief charity to go to South Africa to check their projects down there due to the fact that Comic Relief was celebrating their 25th anniversary. The boys also invited along their friend Will Darbyshire (also a YouTuber). Once they were in Vaalwater, South Africa they visited the Waterberg Welfare Society, a charity which helps to prevent and rise awareness about AIDS and HIV. There they had the chance to play with the children of the centre, talk to the people in charge of everything, dance, have fun, learn more about this disease and its social consequences and also enrich themselves (and mainly others) with this experience. • THE RAINBOW CENTRE, SRI LANKA: That same year, the twins, plus their family, went down to Sri Lanka for the Christmas Holidays, but, while being there, they visited a charity named The Rainbow Center, which provides education to extremely poor african children. Before getting to the center they went to the village where this kids live to learn more about their situation. Both of the brothers were absolutely shocked. On the next day they visited The Rainbow Centre, were they had a totally different experience compared to the previous day.

• THE RICKSHAW RUN, INDIA: This is a video which can also be put into the travel category that later on I will publish, but I included it in the "SOCIAL CAUSES" category because, while Jack and Finn plus other four friends were crossing India, they were raising money for the Teenage Cancer Trust. I know I already published the trailer in a previous entry, but any way I'll leave it here in case you didn't watch or maybe you just want to watch it twice from a different entry!! Anyway… here's the trailer.

And those are the three trips this pair has made to different charities or to support different causes. When I watched this videos for the first time I couldn't help but fill inspired by them, I mean, it is amazing what they have achieved to do in such a short period of time, plus, it is more impressive if we take into account how young they are, which means they are just getting started. So I hope that you guys can also get inspired by this boys and take action to solve any problem you want to air rise awareness about a specific project, or maybe help one or more of the thousands of charities that can be found all around the world.

THEIR EXPERIENCE


   Yesterday I wrote a small introduction of Jack's YouTube channel; today, I'm going to tell you how his channel has grown in the past couple of years and some of the achievements he (and his twin brother) gave reached. All of this regarding their experience as YouTubers, not in their personal lives or in their videos.

• FIRST YOUTUBE GATHERING: In February, two years ago, the twins went to their first YouTube gathering in Hyde Park, London. This was the first time they were able to meet with their fans and get to know them a little bit more and not precisely from behind a camera.

• TRIPS: One month later, Jack uploaded the first of many videos about the trips he and his brother (and sometimes their friends) made. On the first one they tell us about their adventure in Rome. Because of the fact that they have traveled a lot, later on I will focus more on their trips.

• ONLINE T-SHIRT SHOP: On April 2012 Jack made a video announcement saying that he had started an online store for his JACKSGAP channel where you could purchase cool stuff related to it. They deliver all around the globe and they have stuff such as iPhone, iPod and iPad cases, hoodies, T-shirts and more. Here I'll leave you the link to the store so you guys can at least go check it.

• PLAYLIST LIVE!: Their first ever YouTube convention! When March 2013 arrived Jack and Finn traveled all the way down to Los Angeles where the YouTube convention "Playlist Live" was hold. There they got the chance of gathering with many other british YouTubers and thousand of viewers to talk just about stuff, have fun, meet their fans and talk about collaborating in YouTube.

• vINSPIREDLIVE: A couple of months later, they were invited to participate in the vInspired Live event which was held in The Roundhouse in London. vInspired Live is a volunteering charity created back in 2006. In this event, the twins were able to talk to thousands of people about how they can make a change through social media.

• THE ANNOUNCEMENT: Less than a year ago they made THE announcement in one of their videos: they were creating the JACKSGAP website! This, in my opinion, was a huuuuuge step forward for them because it meant they had reached a point in their career as YouTube video makers where they were influent enough to be able to step out of YouTube, out of the video making thing, create a website and make it successful. In other words, this proved that they were not only a couple of guys making funny videos on the web.

• VIDCON: Not a lot to say about it apart from the fact that 6 months ago they went to another of the many YouTube conventions worldwide: VidCon held in the Anaheim Convention Center, California. 

• THE RICKSHAW RUN!!!!!!!!: Soo, as you can see, I am really looking forward to talking to you guys about the Rickshaw Run. Truth is I plan to dedicate a whole entry about this trip later on my blog but for now I will summarize things up. Turns out that in last September Finn and Jack, with some other YouTubers/friends, crossed India from side to side in rickshaws, a peculiar vehicle that is kind of a three-wheeled motorcycle but bigger and covered and for more than two persons, while rising money for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

• THEY HAVE AN OFFICE: After their trip to India they came back with a lot of material which had to be edited and, in order to do so, they got themselves a small place and turned it into their workspace.

 
 
   Aaaaand that's it. So I personally thing that this are the events that somehow have marked the YouTube career of Jack and Finn. They are supposed to be in chronological order (as you can see) but if I made a mistake please tell me in order to fix it. And also if you guys think I missed something remarkable that should definitely be on this list leave me a comment and I'll take it into account. BYE!

GETTING TO KNOW SOME YOUTUBERS - JACKSGAP INTRO

   This first entries will be about introducing some of the most popular YouTubers today. There will be many posts for every YouTube channel featuring things such as who they are, their experience in and outside YouTube, curious facts and other cool stuff about your favorite YouTubers.

JACKSGAP INTRO

   

   "JacksGap" is a channel created by Jack Harries, age 20, who decided to start a YouTube channel during his gap year. His first ever YouTube video was uploaded in July 10th 2011 and today, the channel has over 110 million views and 3 million subscribers.

   The first videos only featured Jack plus a guest from time to time, but, after his twin brother Finn was introduced in the channel, the number of visits increased importantly. Today, Finn is co-owner of the channel. 

   In his first videos, Jack appears doing random stuff, but his great humor and creativity made him a YouTube sensation in no time.

   Jack and Finn are also known to be part of the "YouTube Crew", a group of YouTubers such as Alfie Deyes, Casper Lee, Louis Cole, Marcus Butler and many others.
